Insieme Cameristico di Torino started its activity in 1985. It was a project aiming at the constitution of a stable group, whose members shared the same programmatic and musical purposes. The elements are varied and the repertoire spans from baroque music to the latest experiences of avant-garde music. The group takes part in the staging of performances in which many different artistic expressions meet.
In 1991 they went on a tour of Denmark, Sweden and Finland, during which they performed the complete Quartets for flute and strings by W.A. Mozart.
In 1994 they were invited to the Chamber Music meeting at Wilenstein Castle, Rheinland-Pfalz and they performed during the concert season, which is held every year at Ramstein Cathedral, Germany. The various musical sections of the Chamber Ensemble of Turin - among which the Sérénade Trio, Sacrae Cantiones and Ensemble Barocco - continue their activities in many musical events in several cities, in Italy and abroad.
They have been invited by a number of musical and cultural associations, among which the Unione Musicale and Teatro Nuovo of Turin, MITO Settembre Musica, the Associations "Contrattempo" and "Sandro Fuga", the Premio Letterario Grinzane Cavour, the Artis of Verona, Lario Musica and the "Alessandro Volta" Association from Como. Insieme Cameristico di Torino is part of the Coordinamento Associacioni Musicali di Torino, sharing in the organization of events and concerts.
